Story

  • Again. That smell. That endless corridor. It's as if someone tore a page out of life and slipped... this in its place. Where is the stage? Where is the audience? Only silence is here. Deafening, oppressive silence, in which you can hear the beating of your own heart. A traitor.
  • The heart should beat. It means you're still alive. And if you're alive, you must search. Not for yourself. For him. Your brother. Do you remember? Through the fog in your head... Sirens. The screech of tires. And then... silence. And... a door. That door, black, with a gilded handle, that shouldn't be here.
  • I don't remember how we got there! I remember the chase, the lights, the fear... and then—it's like scissors cut the film. And I'm already here. In the backstage. Where the scenery for nightmares is stored. It's them, isn't it? The ones in uniforms? They cornered us here, like rabbits?
  • The government? Hunting for two thieves? Too grand for us. Or... (Pause. The voice loses confidence) Or is it punishment? Not an earthly one. A higher one. For everything we've done. God's retribution? To take the most precious thing... and leave you alone to wander these endless wings, among the ghosts of the past.
  • I let go of his hand. At that very moment. I felt his fingers slipping from mine... and I didn't hold on. I didn't hold on! My fault. All of it. Heavy, like these velvet drapes. It's what drew me here. Not them. Not god. Me.
  • Leave the guilt for confession. If we ever find a way out. Right now, it's useless. Like a broken mechanism. But... Something else can be forged from it. Not self-destruction. But a purpose.
  • A purpose? I've been walking here for hours. It's a maze without a center. It leads nowhere.
  • No. It only leads forward. Because there's no way back. The door is gone. Only redemption remains. Not in tears. Not in self-flagellation. In action.
  • Redemption? In this kingdom of shadows?
  • Yes. If it's my fault that he got lost here—then it's my duty to find him. If this is a trap—I will be the one to break it. If this is punishment—I will see it through to the end and walk out holding his hand. Every step on this dusty stage, every fragment of memory, every horror of this place... it's not just survival. It's payment. My payment for him.
  • So, it's not "why am I here?" But "for what?"
  • To find. To pull out. To redeem. Move. Forward. Through the backstage. Until you find him. Or find a way out for both of us.

"Our discovery will completely change the world, but for now, be patient—this project requires further refinement."
